FROM PROBLEMS IN THE SCHOOL TO PROBLEMS IN THE HOME

What are the specific problems?
Did he just suddenly stop doing homework, work at school, or both?
What does the teachers tell?
What happend around him at the time he stopped functioning at school?
Did some of his friends move, or did the teachers change?
What does he himself say about the situation?
Is it possible it's only a period of "not seeing the point of an/this
education"?
Why is he "a frightful headache for the family's"? - are there other
reasons than just not beeing good at school?

As you can see it's very difficult to give any advise when the
situation is not very clear for us. Maybe you will get more response
if the situation is explained clearer for us.
