Physical Biochemistry - Assistant Professor.
The Department of Biological Sciences at the Louisiana State
University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant
professor position in Physical Biochemistry.  The position is open to
all areas of interest, including, but not limited to, thermodynamics,
kinetics, structural biology (crystallography and NMR), and cellular
biophysics.  LSU has a Beowulf cluster currently ranked the 7th most
powerful supercomputer in the world, and its own synchrotron with
beamlines for crystallography and small angle scattering
(http://camd.lsu.edu).  The department has recently expanded into a
new 70,000 square foot Life Science Annex and offers competitive
start-up packages.  A Ph.D. or equivalent degree and postdoctoral
experience are required.  The successful candidate will be expected
to maintain an extramurally funded research program and contribute to
undergraduate and graduate teaching.  Review of applications will
begin November 15, 2002 and continue until the position is filled.
