This is an outstanding opportunity to join the Royal Botanic Gardens,
one of Victoria's premier scientific and cultural organisations, and
manage the day to day operations of the Plant Sciences Branch.

The National Herbarium of Victoria is a major centre for botanical
studies in Victoria and the collection of approximately 1.2 million
plant specimens is one of the largest and most important in Australia.

We seek an enthusiastic, innovative and versatile botanist, with
extensive management and research experience, to manage the  activities
in the Branch.

You will provide leadership and initiate and develop original research
projects. You will also conduct your own research and make a significant
contribution to the research program of the Royal Botanic Gardens.

In addition to a relevant postgraduate qualification, you will have
experience in project and financial management. Demonstrated experience
in the evaluation of research programs in a scientific environment will
be highly regarded. Well developed interpersonal and communication
skills are essential.
