Research Botanist, The Linnaean Plant Name Typification Project.

Starting salary £ 21,500 (UKP) per annum
The Linnaean Plant Name Typification Project seeks a Research Botanist to
carry out research into Linnaean names, and to collaborate with specialists
worldwide to establish suitable type choices. You will also answer queries
relating to Linnaean names, and maintain and develop the Projects
databases and website. This post is a three-year, fixed-term, pensionable
post funded by a grant from the Linnean Society of London.
You should possess minimally a degree and ideally a post-graduate
qualification (or equivalent experience) in plant systematics with a good
understanding of the provisions of the International Code of Botanical
Nomenclature. A good working knowledge of databases running in Microsoft
Access will also be essential, and familiarity with web-linked databases
would be an advantage.
