*BIOLOGY/Specialty Zoology- Augustana College *invites applications for a
one year Teaching Post-Doc or Sabbatical Replacement (title will depend on
professional experience) to begin with the 2008-2009 academic year. While a
PhD is preferred, consideration will be given to advanced ABDs. Primary
teaching responsibility will general zoology and the possibility of general
biology for non-majors. A commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal
arts setting is required. There are approximately 350 students majoring in
biology and the pre-health professions, and 12 faculty in the biology
department. Augustana College is a highly selective, four-year, liberal arts
institution of 2,450 students, most of whom live in residence halls on a
wooded 115-acre campus. Rock Island, Illinois is one of the Quad-Cities of
Illinois and Iowa, a diverse metropolitan area on the Mississippi River with
