NMR and Computation Position Openings

Specifications: 
     Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related areas.
     Strong motivation and interests in performing and developing 
         multinuclear multidimensional NMR experiments for 
         macrobiomolecular studies.
     Strong motivation and interests in NMR-based structure elucidation.
     Strong motivation and interests in biophysical studies of biomolecules.
     Salary is highly competitive and commensurate with experience.

Area of Research Interest:
     Structure, stability and dynamics of nucleic acids, their complexes, 
         peptides and proteins of biological significance.

Major Facility:
     Bruker AMX-II 600 MHz spectrometer 
         and other typical biophysical spectrometers.
     A number of SGI and DEC workstations in the NMR laboratory and 
         in the Keck Structural Biology Computation Center at UH.

Affiliated Programs and Research Environment:
     The Institute for Molecular Design at UH.
     The Houston Area Molecular Biophysical Program.
     The Keck Center for Computational Biology.
     UH is only minutes away from Baylor College of Medicine, U.T. Medical 
         School, Rice University and a number of biotechnology institutes 
         and companies.
