question about upgrading computer for area detector system

Hi all,

I have a question that is not directly X-PLOR related, but thought
someone out there may be able to advise me anyway.  We have a San Diego
Multiwire Area Detector system that is currently controlled by an old
VAXstation II.  We are considering upgrading the computer.  Has anyone
else done this? If so, what did you get, and how difficult was it to get
it to work? What kind of controller card did you get for the new system?
