This is a second announcement concerning a course in Rapid Data Collection
and Structure Solving being planned at Brookhaven's National Synchrotron
Light Source and Biology Department. The course is described in a
web-based document at

      http://www.x12c.nsls.bnl.gov/rr_course/course_agenda.html.

The course, to be held during 18-23 April, is designed especially to give
students practical experience in work on their own specimens. In it we
will develop the ideas behind conventional methods for diffraction data
collection, and will emphasize aspects unique to the synchrotron
experience (MAD phasing, rapid structure solving).

The course will accommodate 24 students, each with an experimental
problem to be solved, and 24 who will gain equivalent experience as
observers and helpers. We invite applicants for this course.
Please refer to the Web document for application procedures.
