The Department of Biochemistry (grade 5 RAE '96) has internationally 
recognised research strengths in structural biology, molecular 
enzymology, molecular cell biology and microbial biochemistry (see

Chair of Macromolecular X-ray Crystallography 

Salary will be within the professorial range

The University is seeking an outstanding protein crystallographer to 
provide leadership for an established and successful crystallography 
unit and to promote its further development. 

Applicants should have an international reputation in the application of 
structural methods to the study of biochemical problems.  In addition to 
the applicant's own programme, there will be ample opportunities for 
collaborative projects within the Department and the University.
