The SSRL Structural Molecular Biology group has six new positions
available for a staff scientist, scientific software developer (2),
physicist, electrical engineer, and technical administrator. These new
team members will focus on the development of new methods and technology
for advanced structure determination.
This program is funded as part of the Joint Center for Structural
Genomics (JCSG), which was recently awarded a grant by the NIH-NIGMS to
develop a pilot center for structural genomics. The Structure
Determination Core of the JCSG is located at the Stanford Synchrotron
Radiation Laboratory and is integrated with the existing Structural
Molecular Biology group. The Core's activities will focus on the
establishment of a complete, high-throughput pipeline for structure
determination from initial crystal characterization to structure
solution. The new team members will join the existing SMB group.
For informal inquiries about the positions, please contact Peter Kuhn at
pkuhn at stanford.edu. For more information about the JCSG, please check
