CNS,Athlon,Pentium IV

Hello,

I'm planning to run CNS on a PC, but I'm not sure which processor to
choose for that purpose.
Should I buy a system with an Athlon processor or one based on a Pentium
IV?
Are multiprocessor-systems of advantage?
