Molecular Biology Font by Clark Riley Howard Hughes Medical Institute Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics 725 North Wolfe Street, 808 PCTB Baltimore, Maryland 21205 "clark_riley@qmail.bs.jhu.edu" (410) 955-7897 We finally got tired of trying to grey in the sequences in graphics programs and then having the alignments shift. So I developed this Adobe Type 3 font in which the lower case letters are the shaded versions of the upper case letter. Molecular Biology is a mono-space font, so it is good for displaying alignments. It is Adobe Type 3, so it does not show up with Adobe Type Manager and looks gross on the screen apart from the included bitmapped sizes. However, it prints beautifully on any PostScriptª device. Enjoy. Source file (Fontographer) is available from the author. Free distribution is allowed as long as this ReadMe accompanies the file.
